Uber Eats is Uber's delivery service dedicated to home delivery of food active in over 45 countries around the world, including the city. With regard to rates charged by Uber Eats, you should know that for each order placed, in addition to the cost of the food, you will have to pay a booking fee and any applicable taxes. The rates in question are included in the total cost of the order and are decided by the individual restaurants. This means that the costs offered by restaurants on Uber Eats may vary from what you personally see in the restaurant itself.
Also, you should know that tips for couriers are not included in the total cost of the order. These are not mandatory but each user can voluntarily decide to leave a cash tip on delivery or add it later (up to 30 days after delivery) from their account.
If you are wondering what payment methods are available on Uber Eats, it will help you to know that you can pay for an order with credit / debit card, PayPal, Google Pay e Apple Pay. How Uber Eats works from smartphones and tablets

Once this is done, enter the required data in the fields Your name e Last name and press the button NEXT, to accept the Uber Eats terms of use and create your account.
In the Delivery details, specify your address in the field Please enter a new address (if you have activated the location services, you should see your address automatically) and tap the button end, to save the data entered and start using Uber Eats.
At this point, you are ready to locate the restaurant of your interest, choose the dishes you prefer and place an order. First, however, I would like to point out that Uber Eats allows you to make both immediate orders and to schedule an order, choosing the date and time of delivery.
To do this, click on the icon of freccia rivolta verse il basso, located at the top right, in order to access the section Delivery details, locate the item When and put the check mark next to the option of your interest between As soon as possible e Plan an order. In the latter case, specify the delivery date and time slot and press the button Set delivery time.
On the screen Home the app lists the restaurants available in the area, in order of proximity. Pressing on the option Order, at the top, you can set a different display order by choosing one of the options available from Most popular, Evaluation e Delivery time. In addition, you can also apply custom filters, to view only the types of restaurant you prefer: Price range allows you to view restaurants by price range (€ for cheaper restaurants and € € € € for the more expensive ones), while Food restrictions allows you to view restaurants only Vegetarians, vegans or who make dishes gluten free.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to find a restaurant by type of cuisine, select the item Search in the menu located at the bottom and press on one of the categories available between Sandwich, Pizza, Pasta, Asian, cityno, Fish, Healthy cooking, Fast Food, American, Vegetarian, Japanese, Turkish and many more. Alternatively, you can search for a restaurant by name by entering it in the field Search placed at the top and pressing the button Search.
Regardless of the search method you used to find the restaurant of your interest, all you have to do to view the dishes available and place an order is to click on the preview image of the restaurant in question and choose the dishes you prefer ( if you see the writing Not available at the moment o Closed, it means that the restaurant in question is not open and is temporarily unavailable for orders).
On the main screen of the chosen restaurant, you can view the type of cuisine offer, the average delivery time, reviews of the other users and pressing on the option Further information, information on the address and opening hours. Furthermore, if available, you can view any promotions in progress (eg. Spend 15 euros, save 3 euros), while pressing the icon heart, at the top right, you can add the restaurant in question to your favorites list.
In the Menuinstead, you can view the complete menu and all the dishes available. Scrolling down the screen, you will see a navigation menu appear at the top with all the categories of dishes available (which vary from restaurant to restaurant) to facilitate your search. Also, you can search for a specific dish by clicking on the icon magnifying glass, top right, and writing its name in the field Search for menus.
After identifying the dish you want to order, tap on it, select the amount of your interest by pressing the buttons + e - and, if you have additional requests, enter them in the field Particular requests. Also, if the option is available Add an extra!, put the check mark next to the available options you want to add to your dish: for example, if you are ordering a pizza, you could add additional ingredients. Then press the button Add to Cart, to add the dish in question to your account cart.
At this point, you can repeat the above procedure to add additional dishes from the same restaurant to your order. As soon as you are ready to complete your order, tap the button View Cart, bottom: if you see the screen Complete the meal with these items, award-winning Add now related to the dishes / drinks of your interest, to add them to your cart; otherwise select the option No thanks, to complete the order and proceed with the payment.
In the new screen displayed, choose the type of delivery you prefer (Meeting at the door, Leave at the door e Meeting outside) and click on the option Add instructions, to specify further delivery details. In the section Your Order, check that the dishes / drinks included in the order are correct and, if you wish, enter any requests (e.g. extra napkins, sauces, etc.) in the field add a note. Also, if you also need cutlery, straws and other items to consume your meal, move the toggle next to the option Cutlery, straws etc.. gives OFF a ON.
At this point, if it is configured on your device Google Pay (Android) or Apple Pay (iPhone / iPad), press the button Order [price], to complete the payment and place the order. If, on the other hand, you do not use one of the payment methods mentioned above, choose the options Add payment e Add payment method, select the one you prefer among Credit or debit card e PayPal, enter the data in the appropriate fields and tap the button Save, to proceed with the payment.
Once this is done, you can access the section Order Process of your account, select the option Arriving and press on the item Monitor, to check the status of your order and monitor its delivery. In this section, you can also view the history of your orders (Previous orders) and tip the courier. In the latter case, all you have to do is select the order of your interest, press on the option Add tip and specify the amount in the appropriate field.
Finally, I point out that by pressing on the option Account, in the bottom menu, you can view your favorite restaurants (Add to Wishlist) and access your account settings (View account), to add your favorite delivery locations (Add home e Add work) and change your personal data and contact information. By selecting the option WalletInstead, you can manage the payment methods associated with your account.
How Uber Eats works on a computer
If you are wondering if it is possible to place an order on Uber Eats from computer, you will be happy to know that the answer is positive and that the procedure is almost identical to what I indicated in the paragraphs dedicated to the operation of the Uber Eats mobile app.
To place an order from a computer, connected to the official website of the service, click on the item Log in, at the top right, enter your account details in the fields Email address or mobile number e Password and press pulsating NEXT, to login. Now, on the main screen of your account, locate the restaurant of your interest or press on the item Search, at the top right, to specify the dish you would like to order. Then click on the preview image of the restaurant you prefer, press on the single dish or on menu you intend to order and specify the amount of your interest, then add any requests in the field Additional requests and click on the button Add items to the order, to add the selected dishes to your account cart.
I point out that, by pressing on the options Start group order e Create order, you can get a link to share with friends and family, through which each person can add their order remotely. In this case, the payment is made in a single payment by the user who created the group.
As soon as you are ready to complete your order, click on the icon Shopping bag, at the top right, put the check mark next to the option Add utensils, straws etc., to receive cutlery, napkins and accessories for consuming the meal and specify any additional notes in the field Notes for the restaurant. Then click on the button Next step: payment, select the type of delivery you prefer (Home delivery o Withdrawal outside) and verify that the data relating to the delivery address are correct.
In the When, place a check mark next to the option Deliver now, to receive the order within the expected delivery time, while selecting the item Scheduled delivery you can specify the delivery date and time you prefer.
Finally, hit the button Add payment method, select the payment option you prefer among credit or debit card e PayPal, enter the data in the appropriate fields and click on the button Order, to complete the order and make the payment.
At any time, you can check the status of your order and track delivery by clicking on yours name, at the top right, and choosing the option Order Process from the menu that opens. In this screen, you can also repeat a past order by clicking on the item Order again related to that of your interest.
