Recover WiFi Password
You can recover your WiFi password from both computers and smartphones and tablets, although in the latter case the procedure is not the easiest.
From your computer, if you have a PC running Windows 10, click the Start button (the flag icon in the lower left corner), type Control Panel in the search field, and when you find it, click on it. In the newly opened window, choose Network and Internet and Network and Sharing Center, click on the Wi-Fi network, press the Wireless Properties button and select the Security tab. Then check the box next to Show Characters and you can see your Wi-Fi network password next to the Network Security Key item.
If, on the other hand, you have a computer running Windows 7 or earlier, click the network icon at the bottom right of the clock, locate your wireless network, right-click on it, and select Properties from the menu that opens. In the new window that appears on the screen, select the Security tab, place a checkmark next to the Show Characters item, and write down the visible password next to the Network Security Key option.
If you are using a Mac, click the magnifying glass icon in the menu bar, type "Keychain Access" in the Spotlight Search field and select the first result. In the newly opened window, select the System item in the Keychain section and choose the Password option under Category, then double-click on the Wi-Fi network you're interested in, check the box next to Show Password, and enter your Mac user account password to see the password for the selected Wi-Fi network. To learn more, I'll leave you to my WiFi password recovery guide.
If you want to retrieve your home Wi-Fi network password using your Android-equipped smartphone or tablet, you should know that it must have been rooted. Once this procedure is complete, you can trace the keys of wireless networks saved on Android using any file manager such as Total Commander. For the detailed procedure, you can read my guide on how to recover Android WiFi passwords.
On iPhone and iPad, however, you can use the Wifi-Pass app. However, the latter may not always be able to recover the password of the Wi-Fi networks you are interested in. In this case, you can rely on other such resources that require you to unlock your device by jailbreaking. To learn more about this, I'll leave you to my tutorial on how to discover WiFi passwords with iPhone.
