Spotify Premium gratis per 30 days
Atcivate Spotify Premium free
Assuming that in order to get Spotify Premium for free you must never have activated the trial and/or the Premium plan of the service before, you can take advantage of the paid version of Spotify for a period of time of up to 30 days either on a new account or on an existing account.
If you have already created a Spotify account, you can go straight to the next lines. Otherwise, proceed in the following way. To begin with, connect to the official website of the service by clicking here, then click on the Download item located in the upper right corner and choose whether to sign up using your email address or your Facebook profile: in the first case you have to fill out the form in the middle of the page, in the second you have to put a check mark next to the item I accept Spotify's terms and conditions and privacy information and click on the Sign up with Facebook button.
Once this is done, the Spotify client will automatically start downloading. To install the program on your PC, open the SpotifySetup.exe file and wait a few seconds: the installer will download all the files required for the client to work from the Internet and install them on your computer. Everything will happen completely automatically.
If you use a Mac, the procedure you have to follow is practically identical. Once the download is complete, open the Install Spotify file downloaded from the Spotify website and wait a few seconds for the client to be installed automatically on your computer.
At this point, sign in to Spotify using your Facebook account or your username and password combination (depending on the credentials you chose when signing up for the service). When it starts up, the software will also ask you if this is your first time using Spotify and if you want to show what you're listening on Facebook: set this option according to your preferences (you can always retrace your steps at any time) and press the This is my first time using Spotify to access the main program window button.
Now click on the Upgrade button in the upper right corner. A web page will open where you'll have the option to activate your 30-day trial of Spotify Premium. Then choose whether you want to pay by credit card (even prepaid) or PayPal, enter all the data related to the selected payment method and click on the Start trial period and pay after 30 days / Continue button.
Now you're a Spotify Premium customer and you can use the service on all the devices you own: PC, smartphones, tablets, game consoles, etc..
Deactivate the paid renewal of Spotify Premium
By going to activate the Spotify Premium free trial, you won't be charged until the free trial expires. If you don't want to have your subscription automatically renewed (which would result in your card or PayPal account being charged for the subscription), go to your Spotify account settings and turn off your Premium subscription before the 30-day trial ends. How do I do that? I'll tell you right now.
All you have to do is launch the Spotify client, click on the arrow located next to your name (top right) and select Account from the menu that appears. On the web page that opens, select Subscription from the sidebar on the left, then click on Do you want to cancel your subscription? and select one of the available reasons for deactivating the service (e.g. I don't listen to enough music to pay for the Premium version).
At this point, click the Continue button, scroll to the bottom of the page that opens, click Cancel my subscription, type in your Spotify account password and click Cancel my subscription again to deactivate Spotify Premium.
No longer have the Spotify client installed on your PC? No problem. You can manage your account, and thus deactivate your subscription, directly from your browser as well. All you have to do is connect to the Spotify website, click on the Log in button located at the top right corner and log in to your Spotify account. If you joined Spotify through Facebook, you'll have to click on the Facebook button. Once you're done, select the Subscription item from the left sidebar and proceed with deactivating your Premium subscription as seen above. Simple, isn't it?
Both procedures above allow you to avoid unwanted charges and, when the trial expires, will return your account to the "free" status (without deleting it). If you have second thoughts, you'll have the option to subscribe to Spotify Premium again - this time for a fee - by clicking on the Upgrade button in the client.
Please note: Depending on the current promotions, the initial 30-day trial of Spotify Premium may be replaced by other formulas, such as the one that offers 3 months of Spotify Premium for €0.99. In that case, you won't be able to get the Premium version of Spotify completely free, but you'll have to pay a small amount of money right away (the €0.99) to get more months of subscription.
Phone promotions with Spotify
Vodafone
As mentioned in the opening of the post, there are also phone promotions that allow you to have Spotify Premium for free for a period longer than 30 days. One of these is Spotify Premium with Vodafone that allows you to have 12 months of Spotify Premium at no cost by subscribing to one of the operator's mobile plans.
The offer enables the use of Spotify Premium on all devices (not just mobile) but does not cancel the traffic consumption by the service. It can also be activated by existing Spotify customers, just cancel your current subscription and activate a new one through Vodafone. For more information click here.
