Adapt the SIM

How to insert the SIM in the tablet

Did you notice that the format of your SIM card is not the correct one for your tablet? Don't worry, you can easily cope with it by going to one of the stores of your telephone operator and ask the sales employee for the cultural, card format.

If you do not know which is the center of your operator closest to your home, you can consult the appropriate maps on the websites of the various operators, accessible through the following links: Find TIM stores, Find Vodafone stores, Find Wind stores and Find Tre stores .

Depending on the policies practiced by the manager, the transaction could have a cost included between 10 and 15 euros. As regards activation, the new SIM should become operational in a maximum period of 24 hours.

As an alternative to the procedure just described and, depending on the card format currently in your possession, you can also give yourself to DIY or buy a adapter.

In the first case, if you have a Mini-SIM or a Micro-SIM and you need a Nano-SIM, you can make the card compatible with your tablet by cutting it: an operation, this, apparently simple, but in reality a little complex, as the cut must be done in a very precise way and the risk of damaging the circuitry and therefore of making the card useless is quite high. That said, if you are interested in finding out how to proceed, I invite you to refer to my tutorial on how to cut SIM card, in which I have proceeded to tell you about it in great detail.

As for, however, the use of an adapter: it is a small plastic "contraption" that, once inserted into the SIM slot of the tablet, allows you to use smaller cards than those natively supported by the device. It is a fairly inexpensive product and can be purchased online (e.g. on Amazon) or in telephone and electronics stores. To find out more, I recommend that you read my guide on how to adapt SIM.
