How Instagram works on smartphones and tablets
If you wonder how Instagram works, I suggest you carefully read the information I am about to give you: I am going to explain to you, in detail, how to download and install the Instagram app on your smartphone, how to register on the photographic social network and how to use all its main features.
How to sign up and log in to Instagram
To be able to subscribe and access Instagram, you must first download the official app of the social network on your smartphone or tablet, using the Play Store on your Android orApp Store your iOS.
That said, once you locate the Instagram in the store of your device, do the following: to install it on Android, first presses the button Install and then apri. To install it on iPhoneinstead, tap the button Get, unlock the download using the Face ID, Touch ID or password of your iCloud account, and then press the button apri, in order to start the app.
Now, to register on Instagram, first press the button Continue as [your name], if you wish to subscribe to the social network via Facebook. If, on the other hand, you want to register using your phone number or an e-mail address, click on the button Sign up by phone or email, then fill out the registration form that is shown to you on the screen, indicating all the required data. Finally, click on the button NEXT, I will continue.
If you already have an Instagram account, to access it, tap the button Log in, then log in through your Facebook profile by clicking on the option Continue as [your name], or type username and password, premendo by its pulsating Log in.
How to post photos and videos on Instagram
The most important Instagram functionality is that relating to publishing photos and videos in posts. That said, to get started, tap the button capacitor positive (+) lead located in the bottom menu of the app, then use the sections Gallery e Video, to take a photo using your smartphone's camera or record a video on the spot.
Alternatively, tap on the item library, to upload a multimedia element present in the Gallery of your smartphone to Instagram. Now, press the button NEXT and edit, if you wish, the photo or video using the Instagram editing tools (Modification). Once this is done, tap the button NEXT, write the accompanying caption of the post and the related hashtags. Finally, to publish the post on Instagram, tap the button Share.

How Instagram Stories works
Among the most prominent features of Instagram, there are the stories: a special section of the social network where you can publish multimedia content, photos and videos, which remain visible to your followers for only 24 hours.
That said, to post a photo or video in Instagram Stories, tap onicona della macchina photography located in the upper left corner. Then press or hold the pulsating dell'otturatore, to take a photo or record a video. You can also upload a multimedia element already present in the gallery of your device, by tapping on thegallery icon, located at the bottom left.
All the multimedia contents imported into the stories can be edited before their publication through some tools, such as i filters (the smiley face icon), the adhesives (the square emoticon icon) or the special effects (Eg. Boomerang o Super Zoom).

How Instagram Direct works
I is the Instagram feature that allows you to send private messages to users of the social network.
To use this tool, first tap on theairplane icon, located at the top right of the app's main screen. Then press onpencil icon, at the top right, choose the name of the person you want to get in touch with and tap the button NEXT.
Once this is done, you can send text messages (write a message), vowels (microphone icon) or multimedia (the picture icon), by pressing on the related icons located in the chat.

How Instagram followers works
I follower on Instagram are the people who follow your account. Instagram, in fact, does not have "friends", like Facebook, but a system through which people can follow users and be followed in turn, to stay up to date with the content they publish in posts and stories.
To follow a person on Instagram, all you have to do is locate them by typing their own username in the internal search engine (the magnifying glass icon) and, once your profile is displayed, press the button Follow.
The lists of people you follow and those who follow you are visible on your Instagram profile screen (the little man icon) by tapping, respectively, on the items follower e followed.

How Instagram hashtag works
If you wonder how hashtags work on Instagram, you must first know that the hashtag are labels marked with the symbol # (hash) and are used to categorize i post and stories published on the social network.
Hashtags can be inserted into posts: just write them in the caption text field. To insert them in the stories, however, you can use the appropriate sticker or the tool Aa.
Want to search for posts and stories about a specific hashtag? In that case, go to the section Explore (the magnifying glass symbol) of Instagram and use the search field to locate the hashtag of your interest. Once you have found the content you like, click on the button Follow, if you want them to be shown to you in the feed and in stories posts and stories related to a specific hashtag.

How Instagram live rooms works
Another useful feature of Instagram is that relating to the possibility of making direct streaming and, thanks to the introduction of Punch, it is possible to broadcast a group live, inviting a maximum of three users to their live broadcast.
That said, to use this tool, you must use the social network app for smartphones; therefore, after starting it and after logging in your account, swipe left from the main screen of the social network, in order to start the camera of Instagram. Once this is done, click on the item Live which you can see located at the bottom and, after typing the title of your live stream, click on pulsing tondo, to start the transmission.
Once this is done, to invite your followers to participate in the live broadcast, press onvideo camera icon located in the lower right corner and, in the menu that is shown to you, type the names of the people you want to invite, using the search engine. After selecting the desired users, click on the button Invite to invite them to participate in the live with you.
Finally, to end the live broadcast, press the button with theX icon and end the transmission by pressing the button End video, so you can choose whether to publish the video (Share on IGTV), whether to download it (Download the video) or whether to delete it (Delete media content).
How Instagram Insight works
The instrument Insights of Instagram is an analytics feature reserved for those who have a business account and is accessible through the app of Instagram for Android and iOS (by reaching the section Statistics in menu ☰) and from the computer, using the instrument Creator Studio.
The main advantage given by its use is to be able to analyze the performance of your account, in terms of followers (Public) and content published in posts and stories (Contents).

How Instagram works on PC
Instagram can also be used by PC, as you can connect to its official website or download its application for Windows 10.
Unlike the app for Android and iOS, however, using the Web version it is not possible to publish photos and videos in posts or stories, but only to interact with those of other users. The destkop Instagram client, on the other hand, adds the ability to publish multimedia content in the stories (camera icon), albeit with limited editing tools.
The best solution to post on Instagram from PC is to use the feature Create Post of the instrument Facebook Creator Studio, available for corporate Instagram accounts that have been connected to a Facebook page.

How Instagram TV works
Instagram TV, also called IGTV, is the Instagram video sharing platform integrated within the photographic social network (the TV icon) and also available as an app for Android and iOS.
Through IGTV it is possible to see and publish (after recording a channel) vertical videos with a maximum duration of 60 minutes. To publish the videos it is also possible to act from a PC, by connecting to the official Instagram website or using the tool Facebook Creator Studio.

How does Instagram private profile work?
If you want to limit the privacy of the content you post on Instagram, you can activate the option that makes your profile private. In this way, posts and stories will only be visible to those who already follow you and those who want to follow you will have to send you a request.
Put the private profile on Instagram is very simple and can be done via the social network app for Android and iOS or from the official website of the social network. Then go to the settings section related to privacy account and select the item Private account.

How Instagram Ads works
Corporate Instagram accounts can promote their content for a fee, through Instagram Ads, namely the Instagram ads that appear in posts and stories.

How Instagram business works
Instagram business is the Instagram solution dedicated to those who wish to use their profile for work. In fact, Instagram offers the possibility of switching to a company account for free, after connecting a Facebook page.
Following this operation, several advantages are obtained: among these, there is the possibility of creating sponsored content through Instagram advertisements, but also analyzing the statistics of your account through the tool. Insights.
That said, if you want to switch to a corporate Instagram account, launch the Instagram for Android or iOS and reach the section Account> Switch to a professional account, via the menu of Settings, and then enter the required data.
