Preliminary information
Before delving into the heart of this guide and seeing, together, how to get the Instagram Questions feature, I want to give you some preliminary information that you must necessarily know to reach your goal.
First of all, I want to specify that in this guide I will show you how the sticker works Questions available in Instagram Stories and not that Polls, which I have already told you in depth in another guide). The difference between these two functions is that the first allows followers to ask questions to the creator of the Story, while the second does the reverse, that is, it offers followers the possibility of answering, by choosing between two predefined options, a question posed by the author of the History.
Furthermore, I point out that the function is also present on Instagram Quiz, which differs from those I just told you about, as it allows you to ask multiple-choice questions to your followers, complete with reporting incorrect and correct answers.
As for the availability of the Questions function, know that it, at the time of writing, is only available in the social network app for Android and iPhone devices. The application for Windows 10, on the other hand, while allowing you to create Stories, does not integrate the Questions sticker (and not even those relating to the creation of surveys and quizzes).
Update Instagram
The adhesive Questions was introduced by Instagram in 2018 via an update of its server-side app. If you don't see the sticker in question, there isn't much you can do on your side. You just have to make sure you have updated the photo social network app and wait patiently for the feature of your interest to be activated.
Android
To update Instagram su Android, start the Play Store, tap the button (≡) located in the upper left corner of the screen and select the item Le mie app ei miei giochi from the menu that opens. In the section Updates, then identifies the presence of the icon Instagram and press pulsating Update.
If you are reading this article directly from your Android smartphone, you can update the Instagram app by tapping on this link (in order to go to the Play Store hosting Instagram) and pressing the button Update. If you don't see the button in question and / or the Instagram app doesn't appear in the "Updates" section of the Play Store, it means that you already use the latest version of the application.
Finally, I would like to point out that on Android it is possible to take advantage of the automatic app update (which should already be active by default). To take advantage of this feature, after starting the Play Store, tap the button (≡) located at the top left, select the item Settings give the menu che si apre e fai tap sulla voce Automatic app update. Next, put the check mark next to the wording Only via Wi-Fi (if you want to download automatic updates only under Wi-Fi network) or next to the item On any network (if you want to download automatic updates even under 3G / 4G network) and that's it.

iPhone
To update Instagram on iPhone, avvia l 'App Store and select the scheda Updates which is at the bottom right, in the screen that opens. Then locate the icon of Instagram and, if present, tap the button Update placed in correspondence of the latter. If instead of the "Update" button there is an "Open" button or the Instagram icon is not present on the App Store page dedicated to updates, it means that you are already using the latest version of the app.

If you want, you can also take advantage of the automatic update of apps on iOS (a function that should be active by default). To do this, go to the menu Settings> iTunes Store and App Store and move up ON the switch lever placed in correspondence with the wording Updates.
If you want to allow the download of new updates also via the data connection, move to ON also the switch lever placed in correspondence with the wording Use cellular data. How questions work on Instagram
After updating Instagram and getting the feature that allows followers to ask questions to the creator of a Story, let me tell you how to best use it. For starters, start Instagram on your Android device or iPhone and log into your account if you haven't already.
Now to use the function Questions, as I told you a few lines above, you have to create a Story and insert the appropriate sticker that allows followers to ask questions to the author of the content (i.e. you). Then tap on the icon of camera present in the upper left corner of the main Instagram screen (the one that can be reached by pressing the icon of cottage).
Then decide whether to take a photo or record a "live" video or to upload a previously created image or video. If you have any doubts about using the Instagram Stories function, do not hesitate to consult the in-depth analysis I have dedicated to the topic.
Once you have registered or uploaded content to your Story, click on thesmiling sticker that you find in the menu located at the top right and tap on the sticker Questions.
Then press on the item Ask me a question and eventually customize the text you want to appear on the sticker (you can also leave the default one). In addition, using the colored dot located at the top, you can also change the color of the interactive sticker.
As soon as you are ready to do it, press on the voice end located at the top right and publish the content on your Story by tapping the button The tua storia (lower left). To view the questions asked by Instagram users, all you have to do is open the Story of your interest by tapping on the item The tua storia (on the app's main screen) and swipe from bottom to top on the content that contains the Questions sticker.
Although the function in question was designed mainly to allow followers to ask questions to the authors of the Stories on Instagram, the fact remains that you can use the sticker Questions also "in reverse". What do you mean? In the text field Ask me a question, you can write a question yourself and invite your followers to provide you with answers.
I would also like to point out the presence of the function Which song should I listen to?, which can be activated by tapping on the icon music note located at the bottom of the sticker screen Questions, to get suggestions from your followers about which songs to listen to.
