It is important to note that during the Sorting Hat ceremony, the Sorting Hat will ask your character two crucial questions. The first question is an open question that doesn't seem to affect your character too much, but the second is much more crucial. This question determines your character's qualities, reflecting how the Sorting Hat sees them.

If you're trying to make sure that, at this point, the Sorting Hat places you in Gryffindor, be sure to choose the "Bold" option. This is the first option in the list of options. Curiosity will cause the Sorting Hat to automatically place you in Ravenclaw. Ambition will make you a Slytherin. If you choose Loyalty, the Sorting Hat suggests that your character join Hufflepuff house.

Regardless of the Sorting Hat's first decision, feel free to automatically select your favorite house. For example, if he chooses "Ambition" and the Sorting Hat places him in Slytherin before he can confirm this decision, he can choose one of the other houses and have the Sorting Hat choose Gryffindor. Making a choice other than the one the Sorting Hat makes during this ceremony is not a bad thing, and plays no role in the Hogwarts Legacy game.
