How the € 500 computer bonus works
Published in the Official Gazette on 1 October 2020, on Decree Mise of August 7, 2020, commonly known as PC bonus o voucher PC, contains a series of incentives for families and businesses aimed at spreading ultra-broadband and how to use it.
Mainly, the measure unfolds in two phases: the first, dedicated to families with ISEE below 20.000 euros, provides for the provision of an economic benefit of € 500 for the subscription of an Internet subscription and the purchase of a computer, or a tablet. The second, on the other hand, concerns the families with ISEE below 50.000 euros and businesses: the incentive, in this case, concerns only the Internet connection and provides for the provision of a € 200 voucher for individuals and an amount ranging from € 300 to € 2.000 for companies.
It is to the first category of users that the computer bonus from 500 euros, which I will deal with in this guide: in detail, the user receives a voucher with a maximum value of 500 €, which must be used for take out a new fixed-line Internet subscription in mixed fiber / optical fiber or FWA radio type, with one of the operators participating in the initiative and obtain, at the same time, a new computer or tablet.
In addition to complying with the ISEE value requirement, in order for the voucher to be usable, it is necessary to activate a new connectivity service whose band is of almeno 30 Mbit/s in download (with minimum guaranteed band equal to 15 Mbit / s) is 15 Mbit/s in upload (with minimum guaranteed band a 7.5 Mbit / s); in some cases, it is possible to use the voucher even if you have an already active line, provided that the Internet connection is of lower speed than that indicated in the parameters of the voucher. Below, here are the minimum specifications for the tablets and PCs made available by the various operators and included in the voucher.

- Battery: 6.000 mAh or higher.
- Connectivity : Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB.
Another aspect to keep in mind is that, although the main objective of this type of voucher is to facilitate broadband services throughout the city, in some regions (such as Latium, Liguria, Tuscany., Emilia Romagna e Friuli-Venezia Giulia) it will be usable only by users residing in certain municipalities. This condition, valid at the time of writing this guide, could however change in the future.
How to get the PC and tablet bonus
In order to obtain the bonus PC e tablet you must comply with the above requirements and choose one of the offers adhering to the initiative, making a request to the reference operator: the latter, after having acquired from the holder of the subscription all documentation necessary for the verification of the requirements, and having checked that the voucher is actually payable in the activation area, following the activation of the offer, he must request the competent bodies to return the amount paid out as a voucher.
The device combined with the Internet offer must be chosen and requested during the activation phase of the same; if foreseen, the contribution for the purchase must be paid in a lump sum upon signing the contract or on the first useful invoice.
In other words, if you meet the requirements to obtain the bonus, all you have to do is choose one of the offers that I listed in the previous chapter of this guide and start the activation process, providing, when requested, your personal data and ISEE form, as proof of the economic situation; the telephone operator will subsequently confirm the availability of the voucher and automatically apply the discount per subscription and device, without you doing anything else. How to use the PC and tablet bonus
To use the € 500 PC and tablet bonus, you need to locate the operators participating in the initiative and activate one of the dedicated offers. Each offer divides the total € 500 of the voucher in the form of a discount, applied to the monthly invoice for the Internet part and during the purchase phase for the tablet or PC supplied with it.
TIM
The offer of TIM dedicated to the PC bonus is called TIM SUPER Fiber Voucher: it includes Internet connection with speeds up to 1 Gbps, unlimited calls to all national fixed and mobile, TIMVISION and TIM HUB + modem on free loan. The offer has a cost of 19,99 € / mese per i primi 20 mesi, then € 29,99 / month (the contribution of € 200 for the activation of the connection is paid on the invoice through a bonus of € 10 for 20 months), with free activation and without a duration constraint.
As for the combinable devices, TIM makes the tablet available Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, at the cost of 29,90€, or the notebook ONDA Oliver Plus 15.6 ", at the cost of 99,90€.
