Now, start the WhatsApp app, tap on the tab Chat located at the top left, presses the symbol of white speech bubble on green background located at the bottom right and press the button (⋮) located at the top right. Finally, tap on the item Update in the opened menu.

Now, to save one or more messages in the chat with yourself, do this: locate the conversation containing the message or messages of your interest, keep your finger pressed on one of those to be forwarded to yourself and, after selecting them, tap on freccia rivolta verse destra (top right). In the screen that opened, then tap on your contact and presses the icon ofpaper airplane (bottom right), in order to send them.

However, I point out that the best way to save messages is to use the WhatsApp function that allows you to set them as favorite: after having opened the conversation of your interest and having identified the message to save to your favorites, keep your finger pressed on it, tap the icon of star placed high and that's it.
