These are easy-to-use software, free (at least in their "basic" version), running on all the most recent editions of Windows and able to perfectly fulfill the purpose for which they are intended. I had already thought about this too and in fact in the tutorial I proceeded to insert programs that can also be used on Apple branded computers. But now just chat and let's get to work. The first among the programs to watch DVD on PC that I want to tell you about is VLC. It is a totally free software, of an open source nature and compatible not only with Windows but also with Mac. Now, insert the DVD you want to play in your computer player and then if you are using Windows click on the item Media at the top left of the VLC window, select Open Disc ... from the menu that appears, presses the button Sfoglia ... in the new window that appears, select your DVD and then click on Play.
On Mac, instead, press the button Open media ... found in the central part of the VLC window displayed on the screen, select the tab disc in the new window that opens and choose your disk from the relevant drop-down menu, then click on OK.
Once the DVD has started playing, you can manage it using the appropriate buttons located at the bottom left of the window. On Windows you will also find the button to activate the full screen display (the one with the square open at the sides) and the button to view the extended program settings (the one with the switches). On the right, however, there is the volume adjustment bar and on Mac also the button to enable full-screen display (the one with the two arrows).
Further commands relating to player management and DVD viewing are accessible from the menu that appears by right-clicking on the program window and through the items attached to the menu bar.
KMPLayer is another DVD watching program available for both Windows and Mac (although still in beta at the moment). It has its own internal codecs that allow you to play virtually any type of multimedia file. Plus, it's one of the lightest DVD players out there, which is why it's ideal for older computers.

When the download is complete, if you are using Windows, open the .exe file obtained and click on Si. Then click on apri and it's done. Then start the program by recalling it from Launchpad.
Now, regardless of the operating system, insert the DVD you want to play in the computer player and in the KMPLayer window that appears on the screen right click, choose apri from the menu that appears and selects Open Standard DVD Device. You can then manage the playback using the appropriate buttons that you find in the lower part in the center.
From the same menu above you can also access other useful tools for managing the program in general. If, on the other hand, you want to view your DVD in full screen, press the appropriate button (the one with the square) which is in the upper right part of the KMLPlayer window and it's done.
In the lower left part of the player window, however, there are the buttons to access the control panel (the one with thegear) and to access the DVD controls (the one with the lines). On the right there is the adjustment bar for the audio level.
AVS DVD player
Another great resource for this purpose that I want to invite you to consider is AVS DVD player. It is a fantastic program to watch DVDs on your PC completely free, in Italian and with an interchangeable interface. It allows you to view any DVD and video files (including DivX) without problems. It has been discontinued by its developer house (it will no longer be updated) but is still one of the best software in the category.
To use it, the first step you must take is to connect to the program download page available on the Softpedia website and first click on the button Download top left and then on the button Alternative Download, to download the program to your PC.
When the download is complete, open the .exe file you just obtained and click on Si. In the window that opens, first presses on OK to confirm the use of the Italian language and then on NEXT. Then accept the conditions of use of the program, putting the check mark next to the item I accept the terms of the license agreement, and click on first NEXT for four consecutive times and then on Install and end.
Now that you see the program window on your desktop, insert the disk of your favorite movie in your computer and wait for the loading to finish to start watching it.
You can enable full screen viewing of the movie by double clicking on it and accessing settings such as aspect ratio and audio configuration by right clicking on the video window and selecting the appropriate items from the menu that appears. opens.

When the download is complete, open the .exe file obtained and click on Si then press on OK. Press on NEXT, its Acceptanchor your NEXT and subsequently on Install. Now that you see the PotPlayer window on your desktop, insert your disk into your computer then click on the button with the three lines horizontally located in the upper left part of the same and choose, from the menu that appears, the item apri and then that Open DVD.
You will be able to manage playback using the controls located at the bottom left of the window, while at the bottom right you will find the volume control bar, the button to manage the DVD menus (the one with the rectangle with the triangle) and the button to access the settings relating to audio, video, subtitles and playback speed (the one with thegear).
Further commands for managing the DVD and the program in general are accessible from the menu that opens by right clicking on the player window.
If, on the other hand, you want to enable full-screen DVD viewing, click on the button with the four arrows that you find in the upper right part of the program window.
If you are interested in this, I would like to point out that you can also change the appearance of the player according to your needs and preferences, changing the applied skin. To do this, click again on the button with the three horizontal linesand placed in the upper right part of the PotPlayer window, choose the item Temi from the menu that appears and select the option you prefer.

You can then manage the viewing of your DVD using the appropriate commands located in the lower left part of the screen. On the right, however, there is the bar to adjust the audio level, the button to access the program control panel (the one with the the heights), the button for managing subtitles (the one with SUB) and the button to extrapolate frames from the DVD (the one with the photographic macchinetta).
If you want to view your DVD in full screen, you have to press the button with the four arrows that you find in the upper right part of the GOM Player window.
