Retrieve Facebook password from mobile phone
Retrieving your Facebook password is a quick and easy procedure that allows you to set a new password and access your account if you lose your access key. You can recover your password from your mobile phone using the Facebook app for Android and iOS devices.
To retrieve your Facebook password from your Android-equipped smartphone, start the popular social network app by tapping on its icon (the white "F" on a blue background) on the home screen, then press the Login button and choose Forgotten password?
On the new screen, enter the phone number or email address associated with your account in the Phone or email field and tap the Find Your Account button. Now, if your account has both a phone number and a secondary email address associated with it, choose how to recover your password by placing a checkmark next to one of the options between Confirm by SMS or Confirm by email and press the Continue button.
Then, enter the 6-digit verification code that was sent to you via SMS or email in the Enter Code field and press the Continue button. If you have not received the code in question, tap on one of the available options between Send the email again or Receive the code via SMS.
If you're worried that someone has your old password and is using your account, on the Logout from other devices screen, check the Logout from other devices option, otherwise choose Stay connected and press the Continue button. Finally, enter the new password to associate with your account in the Type a new password field (at least 6 characters) and tap the Continue and OK buttons.
If you're wondering how to recover Facebook passwords on iPhone, you should know that the procedure is almost identical to the procedure described in the previous paragraphs to reset your password on Android.
After starting the Facebook app, choose Forgot your password? Enter the email address or phone number associated with the account in question in the Search your profile field and press the Search button. You should know that on iPhone, unlike devices equipped with Android, you can also search your profile using your first and last name. Then enter the information in the Search your profile field at the top and press the Search button, then locate your account and tap on it to proceed with password recovery.
If your profile doesn't appear in the search results, press the button I'm not on this list, enter the first and last name of a person on your Facebook friends list in the friend's name field and tap the Continue button.
Once you have found and selected your profile, on the Confirm your account screen, place a checkmark next to one of the options visible between Confirm by email or Confirm by SMS to receive a verification code to verify your identity and recover your password. Then, on the Continue button, enter the code you received in the Enter code field and tap the Continue button. If, however, you have not received any code, select the Send code again item to "force" the sending of a new security code.
Now, place a checkmark next to the Disconnect me from other devices option to logout from all the locations you logged into your account or select Stay logged in, then press the Continue button, enter your new password in the Type a new password field and tap the Continue button to complete the password recovery process for your account.
Retrieve Facebook password from PC
If you prefer to retrieve your Facebook password from your PC, log in to your social network home page and click on the "Don't remember how to log in to your account?" item in the top right corner. On the new screen that appears, in the Find your account box, enter the email address or phone number associated with your account in the Phone or email field and press the Search button.
On the Reset your password page, place a checkmark next to the Send code by email option to receive the code to reset your password to the email addresses associated with your account or next to the Send code by SMS option to receive an SMS with the code in question.
Once you've made your choice, click the Continue button to receive the 6-digit security code. Then go to your email inbox, locate the email sent by Facebook and note the verification code contained in it. If, on the other hand, you have chosen to receive the code via SMS, pick up your phone, access your messages and view the code received, then go back to Facebook, type the code you just received in the Enter code field and press the Continue button.
Now, on the Choose a new password screen, enter the new access key to associate with your account in the New password and press the Continue button. If you think someone has your previous password, place a checkmark next to Disconnect from other devices to disconnect from all the devices that are logged into your account, otherwise choose the Stay logged in and press the Continue button.
Alternatively, on the Choose a new password page, you can click on the Skip button to access your account directly without changing your access key. In this case, after logging in to your profile, you can set a new password by clicking on the down arrow icon (top right), selecting the Settings item from the menu that appears and choosing the Security and Access option.
In the new opened page, in the Login section, press the Edit button on the Change password option, enter the new access key in the New fields and type the new password again and press the Save changes button.
Retrieve Facebook password without email and number
If you no longer have access to the email address and/or phone number associated with your Facebook account and you are trying to recover your password, you should know that you can only do so if you have previously set up trusted contacts in your account settings. In that case, the procedure is the same from both your smartphone and computer.
Start your device's browser and connect to the Facebook password recovery page, then enter the email address or phone number associated with your account in the Phone or email field and choose Search. In the new screen that appears, select the option You can no longer access it, enter an email address or phone number that you have access to in the New email address or phone number fields and confirm new email address or phone number and press the Continue button.
Now, select Show My Trusted Contacts, enter the first and last name of one of your trusted contacts in the Contact Name field and press the Confirm button to see the full list of your trusted friends, then contact each friend on the list and ask them to visit the facebook.com/recover address where they will find a 4-digit code for you to enter in the Enter Code field.
Then, on the Continue button, enter a new password in the appropriate field and click the Continue button to receive an email to the address indicated above: then click on the verification link contained in it to complete the recovery of your account.
If, however, you have not set up any trusted contacts and do not have access to the information you registered with Facebook, I am sorry to say that there is no way you can recover your account.
