Preliminary information

As you know, every Facebook account is created through an email address, which can be accessed to confirm your identity. Over the years, as an additional security measure, the developers of the famous social network have also thought to associate aphone number. Also in this case, to confirm your identity without a password, you will receive a code that you must enter during login.

What I want to tell you, basically, is that if you have access to this information and remember at least among it, the password recovery process will be much easier. However, as I told you before, there are ways to log in even without these two items, the important thing is to remember at least the name andprofile picture of your Facebook account.

The methods I am going to list are really simple and provided directly by the social network in question. This means that you will not have to resort to other applications or programs to log in, if not possibly toeach browser you use to surf the Internet (eg Chrome). I'll show you how to perform each procedure on smartphones and tablets as well as PCs, so that you have more than one option to complete the recovery. However, in general, the difference between a smartphone and a PC is minimal.

Once you have recovered your password, try to write it down somewhere without allowing your device to memorize it automatically. Stored passwords, in fact, can be obtained by some attacker in case of a physical breach of your machine. If you really want your device to memorize your passwords, I suggest you use a reliable password manager: you can find the best ones here and they are also accessible from smartphone apps, as I explained in this other tutorial.

Before reading the chapters on how to recover your password having only one item available between email address and phone number or none of them, I invite you to try it: look for your Facebook password among those stored in the program you use to surf the Internet. In fact, you may have already authorized your browser to store your social network password and you may not remember it now.

How to recover Facebook password without number and email address

You're in the most unpleasant situation, where you have none of the information available to access, right? Stay calm, I will explain now how to recover Facebook password without email and phone number.

To perform this procedure you need to have a PC and a photo of yours valid identity document saved in memory (after completing the procedure, I suggest you delete the photo or save it in a password-protected application, for security reasons). What you need to do is to Google the name of your profile followed by the word "Facebook" (e.g. For Data Recovery Facebook). Then click through the various search results until you find your profile and select it. At this point, in the browser address bar you will see an address that should be composed as follows: https://www.facebook.com/username.

Copy the address in question, access the Facebook home page and try to log in by entering thepreviously copied address in the name field and an incorrect password. Repeat the step on the next error screen and click on the I need help identifying my account option.

In the search bar that appears, re-enter the same address and press the blue Search button. Now, on the new login screen, click on the Forgot how to log in to the account? and then on the Can' t access it anymore? and again on the Can't access my e-mail button.

At this point, a page entitled How can we help you? should open where you enter a new e-mail address: to confirm it, click on the Continue button (if you do not know how to create an e-mail account, read this guide).

Now, on the new page that is proposed to you, in the compilation field, you will have to enter your name and surname and click on the button Upload identity document, choose the type of document (passport, driver's license or identity card). Then click on the forward button, then back to the forward button and, at this point, enter the document and press the forward button.

It should take Facebook staff approx. 24 hours to verify your document, after which they will send you asecurity code at the new email address you specified. By entering the code in the link that will always be emailed to you, you can access your account and set a new password.

If you have set up Trusted Contacts in your Facebook account, after the step where Facebook asks you to enter a new email address, a page will open with a title box Ask your trusted contacts for help. You will need to ask your friends to visit facebook.com/recover to get a code. Each of them will provide you with this code: by entering it in the appropriate fields and pressing the Continue button you will be able to set a new password.

The same procedure I just illustrated you can also implement it on smartphone and tablet. First, log in to each browser and Google your profile name followed by the term "Facebook". Once you find your profile, copy your address.

Now, connected to facebook.com always from the browser. In the login field, instead of the name or phone number, paste theaddress copied earlier and presses the Start button. Then select your account and press the button And continue or Try another method. On the new page that opens, click on You can no longer access it.

At this point, Facebook will ask you to enter a new email address orphone number: enter what you prefer and press the Continue button. Facebook will take you to the page where you can enter the codes of trusted contacts: enter them as indicated above and press the Continue button.

If all goes well, you will need to confirm your account by entering the security code received at the specified number or email address, after which you will be able to set a new password. If you do not have the trusted contacts set up in your account, you can continue uploading the documents as I indicated above in the procedure from the PC.
