How to contact Amazon via chat

The procedure for contact Amazon in chat and getting support from a live operator is quick and easy. All you have to do is access the section Contact us of your account and choose the chat support service. How to do? I'll explain it to you right away!

From computer

To contact Amazon via chat from computer, connected to the main page of the famous online shopping site, linger with the mouse pointer on the item Account e list (top right) and click on the button Log in. In the new screen that appears, enter your Amazon account details in the fields Email address or mobile number e Password and press pulsating Log in, to login.



At this point, click on the ☰ button, at the top left, locate the item Help and Settings e premi sull'opzione Costumer Services. Alternatively, click on the item Account e list and, in the new open page, click on the option Help.

On the screen Hi [name], How can we help you?, press on the box Contact us and select one of the available options from An order I placed, devices, Digital content e Prime and more, to indicate why you are contacting Amazon customer service.

In the specific case in which you want to get in touch with Amazon to get information and help regarding an order placed, select the order of your interest among those visible in the box Here is a recent order. If, on the other hand, it is your intention to contact Amazon for support regarding an Amazon device, select the one you are interested in (eg. Fire TV Stick, Kindle etc.) or click on the button My device is not on the list.



Regardless of your previous choice, find the section Tell us more about your problem and, via drop-down menus Choose an option, indicate the problems encountered with your order, with the selected device or with one of Amazon's digital services (eg. Amazon Prime, Prime Video, Twitch Prime etc.).

For example, if you have made a return on Amazon and have been refunded an incorrect amount, what you need to do is select the option An order placed, choose theorder with which you are having problems and, through the appropriate drop-down menus, select the options Returns and Refunds e Wrong refund.

Now, whatever the reason you are contacting Amazon, locate the section How would you like to contact us? and click sul pulsating Chat. On the new screen that appears, enter your message in the field How can I help you today? and, if at the end of the chat you want to receive the entire transcript of the conversation via email, put the check mark next to the option Send the transcript of this chat by e-mail to [e-mail address].

As soon as you are ready to start the chat, press the button Start chat: once this is done, the chat session will start and, in a few moments, you will finally be able to interact with Amazon customer service. At this point, type yours message in the text field below and click on the button Send, to send it.


After obtaining the information of your interest, you can end the chat by clicking on the button End chat, top right. By doing so, you will receive an email from Amazon in which the summary of your request will be made and in which you will be invited to evaluate the quality of the service offered.


Give smartphone and tablet

If your intention is to contact Amazon in chat from smartphones and tablets, I am sorry to tell you that it is not possible to do this via the app for Android and iOS / iPadOS. However, you can succeed in your intent using the browser installed on your device (eg. Chrome your android e Safari on iPhone / iPad) and activating the desktop version of the Amazon site.

To proceed, therefore, start the browser you usually use to browse the Internet and connect to the official Amazon site. At this point, tap the button Log in, select the option Sign-in. Are you already a customer?, enter your login details in the fields Email (phone for mobile account) e Password and press pulsating Log in, to login.

Done that, if you are using Chrome, press the icon of three dotsat the top right, and select the option Request desktop site from the menu that opens, to switch to the desktop version of the Amazon site. If, on the other hand, you use Safari, award-winning Aa visible in the address bar and choose the item Request desktop site.


At this point, tap the ☰ button, at the top left, select the item Costumer Services and, in the new open page, click on the box Contact us. Then specify why you are contacting Amazon by selecting one of the options available from An order I placed, devices, Digital content e Prime and more and, through the drop-down menus visible in the section Tell us more about your problem, indicate what problems you encountered.

Finally, tap the button Chat, enter your message in the field How can I help you today? and press on the item Start chat, to start the chat and get support from a real Amazon operator.


Other ways to contact Amazon

As you well know, in addition to the possibility of chatting with an Amazon operator, the famous online shopping site also offers users other contact channels.

By accessing the section Contact us of your Amazon account, as I indicated in the previous lines, you can select one of the other options available in the section How would you like to contact us?: Email allows you to get support via email while clicking on the button Telephone you can be contacted by telephone by an operator in flesh and blood. Among the solutions to contact Amazon that you can consider there are also social networks. In fact, the famous online shopping site has a Twitter profile through which it provides assistance to its customers.

If you think this is a valid solution to contact Amazon, start the Twitter app (available for Android and iOS / iPadOS), tap the button +, at the bottom right, type @AmazonHelp followed by your request in the field What's new and press pulsating Tweet. On the computer, instead, click on the button Tweet, enter your account @AmazonHelp, type your message in the field What's new? and click on the button Tweet. Do not enter personal details, as this message will be public.

Once you submit your support request on Twitter you should receive a response from an operator within a short time. You may then be prompted to continue the conversation privately, via DM, and possibly to provide details relating to your account and the problems encountered.
