How to download Google Drive on Android

Come già accennato in opening of the post, Google Drive is the famous cloud storage and file sharing service developed by Google, the company known for its namesake search engine and the Android operating system. The service offered by Google Drive is accessible via the Web and therefore usable through its official website, but it is also possible to use it on the move, through the application for mobile devices, and from a PC, through a client for desktop systems (as I explained to you also in my tutorial on how Google Drive works).

In the mobile environment, the Google Drive application for Android may in some cases already be pre-installed and therefore it may not be necessary to download and install it. To find out if the application is already present on your device Google Drive, you have to look for its icon on the main screen - this has the symbol of a colored triangle and is named Drive. If you do not find it at the first attempt, also try to look for it in the section of your device that shows the complete list of all installed applications (the drawer). Furthermore, in some cases, the application may be in an automatically created folder which, located within the main screen, contains all the default Google applications.

The application in question is not present on the device you have, and therefore you would like to know how to install it? Don't worry, it's not a problem, I'll explain it step by step in the following lines.

To download and install the Google Drive application on your Android device, you need to act through the Play Store, that is the default virtual store through which you can download or buy games and applications for free. To do this, tap the del icon Play Store located on the main screen of your device (it presents the symbol of a colored triangle). Through the section Home of the Play Store, presses on the search bar at the top and, in correspondence with the wording Close your Google Play, type the word Google Drive and then press the button Search (symbol of a magnifying glass) from your device keyboard.

Now, wait for the results of the search you have just carried out to be shown and, at this point, you can see the preview tab of Google Drive: to install the app in question, press the button Install and then on the button Accept.

Where instead the application Google Drive was already present on your device, in correspondence with the app preview tab, the wording will be present apri. In this case it means that the application has already been installed and you can then start it by pressing the button apri, which is also visible at the end of any installation.
